Just bought a pair of earrings without know what stone they were. I guess Quartzite is usually White but they get died different colors.  

Quartzite is a non-foliated Metamorphic rock composed almost entirely of Quartz. It forms when a quartz-rich sandstone is altered by the heat, pressure, and chemical activity of metamorphism. These conditions recrystallize the sand grains and the silica cement that binds them together. The result is a network of interlocking quartz grains of incredible strength.
The interlocking crystalline structure of Quartzite  makes it a hard, tough, durable rock. It is so tough that it breaks through the quartz grains rather than breaking along the boundaries between them. This is a characteristic that separates true quartzite from sandstone.

I had a difficult time finding information of Ceruleite.  I just bought a ring and 3 pendents to sell.  I figured it was good for you and I to know a little about this stone. 

Polished Ceruleite Gemstone can have a far deeper blue color than that of the rough stone. Due to its rarity, good,material is hard to cut and quite expensive. You’ll see few cut stones, even in museum collections.

​The type locality for this gem is the Emma Luisa Mine in Huanaco, Chile. Chile remains an important source for this gem.
Southern Bolivia has produced cabbing material of fine color. However, the total amount of this yield may not exceed several hundred pounds.

​Nodules usually range in size from less than 1 inch up to several inches. Typically small, this material yields Cabochons only.

​You’re more likely to find Ceruleites, if at all, in mineral collections than in jewelry collections. These gemstones have a lower hardness  (5-6) than more common jewelry stones such as Quartz. Therefore, store them separately from other gems to avoid contact scratches. Use protective settings for ring wear. However, necklace and earring use should pose fewer risks.
Avoid cleaning ceruleites with any mechanical cleaner. Clean these gems only with a soft brush, mild detergent, and warm water. Don’t use any other cleaning solutions, since ceruleites may react to chemicals in them. Wipe pieces with a damp cloth after wearing them.

The highest quality jade can cost more than gold, at thousands of dollars per ounce, the price of nephrite jade generally varies.

WHAT DOES STS MEAN STAMPED ON JEWELRY

Bought a ring stamped 14k on one side and STS on the other. Is it 14k white gold, sterling, stainless steel?Please help! I need to know becasue I spent $200 dollars on it, and want to know if I got ripped off!

No you did not get ripped off.  $200 is a good price for 14K Gold.  Your fine.  Below is the information that anyone buying jewelry should know.   Platinum overlay is also good. Platinum cost more than Sterling Silver.  It protects the Sterling from turning and you don't have to clean it.  Some people thinks its inferior but its a good thing. Good Jewelry take this particular care. 

STS stamped on any ring band or any piece of jewelry means it was created by an STS Jewelry company which has it's headquarters on Austin Texas. They are quite reputable and have been in business a very long time. They are most well known for making affordable prices real pieces of color genuine gemstone jewelry. The STS mark is simply their jewelry company stamp and does Not reflect what the piece contains metal wise.

You must use the second stamp to determine the metal type. They are well known to make 14k gold 10 kt. Gold 14kt rose gold 10kt rise gold14 kt white gold and 10 kt white gold. 

They also make many pieces stamped .925 which are actually platinum over .925 nickel free fine Sterling silver and those have high luster and do not tarnish or cause allergies like some Sterling can. They are a reputable company and I personally do not work for them but I do own quite a few lovely pieces they made! Rest tight you weren't drained or taken.
